Refund and Returns Policy

Welcome to sportwaffenshop.com (German Sports Gun Website). We are a licensed weapon shop and waffenladen selling pistol Germany models, bolt action rifles, semi automatic rifles, ammunition, schalldämpfer, and other shooting sports equipment.
This Refund and Returns Policy explains your rights and obligations when you waffe kaufen from our shop for weapons. Please read carefully – due to the nature of firearms and ammunition, returns are handled differently than conventional retail products.
1. Legal Basis – German Law
Our policy complies with:
- German Civil Code (BGB §312–§327) – distance selling rights (Widerrufsrecht)
- German Weapons Act (WaffG §13, §36) – restrictions on firearm returns
- Explosives Act (SprengG) – ammunition handling
2. Statutory Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)
As a consumer, you have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you or a third party named by you (not the carrier) takes physical possession of the goods.
However: This right does not apply to certain products (see Section 3 below).

3. Non-Returnable Items – No Right of Withdrawal
Under German law (§312g BGB in conjunction with §13 WaffG), the following cannot be returned once the purchase is completed and the WBK has been processed:

| Personalized or custom items (e.g., competitive edge dynamics custom chassis, Triebel Berlin engraved parts, parforce fitted gear) | Made to your specifications. |

| Sealed goods (hygiene products, ear protection, eye protection) once unsealed | Health protection reasons. |
For these items, all sales are final. Please choose carefully before completing your transaction.
4. Returnable Items (14 Days)
The following items can be returned within 14 days, provided they are unused, unopened, and in original packaging:
- Holsters, slings, cleaning kits
- Scopes and optics (unmounted, no scratches)
- Shooting glasses, ear protection (sealed original packaging)
- Range bags, hard cases
- Airsoft gun (only if factory-sealed – unsealed units cannot be returned)
- Clothing (unworn, tags attached)
- Books and printed materials
5. How to Return an Eligible Item
Step 1: Contact us at returns@sportwaffenshop.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Provide your order number and the item(s) you wish to return.
Step 2: We will issue a Return Authorization (RA) number and provide the return shipping address.
Step 3: Pack the item securely in original packaging. Include the RA number clearly on the outside of the package.
Step 4: Ship the item within 14 days of receiving your RA number. Return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the item was defective or we sent the wrong product.
Step 5: Once we receive and inspect the returned item (3–5 business days), we will process your refund.
6. Refunds
If your return is approved:
- Refund method: Same payment method used for purchase.
- Timeframe: Within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
- Deductions: We may reduce the refund if the item shows signs of use, damage, or missing original packaging.
- Original shipping costs: Non-refundable (except for defective or incorrect items).
7. Defective or Damaged Items
If you receive a defective or damaged product:
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery at warranty@sportwaffenshop.com
- Provide photos or videos of the defect/damage
- For firearms or schalldämpfer, do not attempt to repair yourself – this voids warranty and legal compliance
- We will arrange repair, replacement, or refund according to German warranty law (BGB §437 – 2 years for new goods, 1 year for used)
8. WBK and Legal Compliance – No “Trial Period”
You cannot “try” a firearm and return it. Once the WBK is registered to that serial number, the item is legally yours.
We strongly recommend visiting a physical waffenladen (e.g., Triebel Berlin) to handle products before purchasing online if you are uncertain.
9. Cancelling Before Shipment
You may cancel your order before we process your WBK and ship the item:
- Full refund – no questions asked.
- Contact us immediately at cancel@sportwaffenshop.com with your order number.
If we have already submitted your WBK to the authorities, cancellation is no longer possible due to legal registration requirements under WaffG §13.
